Does my health insurance cover infertility treatment?
In Illinois, infertility coverage is mandated for certain companies (see www.insurance.illinois.gov/healthinsurance/infertility.asp for more information). This means that your employer may be offered the option of purchasing infertility coverage for you as part of your health insurance policy. It is a good idea to contact your insurance company or employer directly to inquire about the specifics of your insurance benefits. Couples are often pleasantly surprised to find out how much of their infertility services are covered by their insurance.
What if I have no insurance coverage for in vitro fertilization?
For couples without insurance, our Shared IVF Success Program may enable them to financially plan their treatment, since costs are known "up front". This program covers the cost of multiple cycles of IVF. If a pregnancy does not occur, the program fee will be refunded at 100%.
