Vishvanath C. Karande,
M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Karande
is the President, Medical Director, and Director of the IVF Program.
After completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the
State University of New York at Buffalo, NY, he did a Fellowship
in the sub-specialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
at the prestigious Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine at
the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.
Dr. Karande is Board Certified in the specialty of Obstetrics and
Gynecology as well as the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology
and Infertility. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists and Member of the American Society for Reproductive
Medicine.
In addition to the above credentials, as Director of the IVF Program,
Dr. Karande has been involved in thousands of IVF cycles with pregnancy
rates comparable to the best programs nationwide. His major interest
is in the reduction of high-order multiple pregnancies which is
the biggest problem facing the specialty. This is being successfully
accomplished by limiting the number of embryos being transferred
to two in younger patients without compromising pregnancy rates.
He is also an accomplished laparoscopic surgeon and is accredited
by the Accreditation Council for Gynecological Endoscopy.
Dr. Karande has published extensively in several peer reviewed Journals.
His research interests include improving pregnancy in patients with
diminished ovarian reserve, embryo transfer technique, and tubal
catheterization for treating blocked fallopian tubes.

Sigal Klipstein,
M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Klipstein
is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She holds fellowships in
both infertility and medical ethics. After completing a year at
Northwestern Memorial Hospital, she continued her studies with a residency
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and
Harvard Medical School in Boston. She completed a fellowship in Reproductive
Endocrinology and Infertility at Boston IVF and Harvard as well as a
fellowship in Medical Ethics at Harvard University. Her research interests
include: preimplantation genetic diagnosis, pregnancy in women over 40 years
of age, egg donation, surrogacy, and reproductive ethics. She has lectured
on the ethics of infertility, stem cell research, cloning, and preimplantation
genetic diagnosis to medical students, physicians, and community groups.
Dr. Klipstein is widely published, having written numerous articles in both
medical and ethics journals. She has also authored several book chapters and
presented at numerous medical conferences. She is fluent in Spanish.

Robert Brannigan,
MD
Dr. Brannigan
completed his residency in Urology at Northwestern University Medical
School followed by a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and
Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During
his fellowship, Dr. Brannigan trained with Dr. Larry Lipshultz,
a world-renowned leader in the field of Male Reproductive Medicine
and Surgery. Dr. Brannigan is also Director of the Andrology Laboratory
at Northwestern, which conducts state-of-the-art testing to assist
in the evaluation of male factor infertility.
Dr. Brannigan is an expert in the evaluation and treatment of male
factor infertility, sperm procurement techniques, microsurgical
varicocele ligation, management of testicular failure and hypogonadism,
sperm cryopreservation / banking, evaluation and treatment of ejaculatory
disorders, and general urology.
