Egg Donor Compensation Part II Why $8000??

This is the competitive rate. It’s that simple. The market forces involved that set the precedent are fair and therefore, we need to be within that range with our own program. We do not believe that any donor should be paid more or less than another if she fits the requirements and parameters of our egg donor program. The donor is also given her compensation regardless of how many eggs are retrieved (including zero), or whether or not the cycle resulted in a pregnancy. As far as we are concerned, she did what was asked, she showed up for all of her appointments, she took the medications as instructed, and she put her life on hold for us, so for that she is compensated.

Sure you can look online and find ads for donors being paid much more than this amount. Some of these ads may be real, and others may be placed to entice potential donors to apply to a program only to find out that the typical reimbursement is much lower. In some cases, these types of ads are placed by individuals looking for a very specific donor, whether based on physical characteristics, IQ, height, interests, or all of the above plus more. We do not believe in increasing our prices for “gold star” donors. We believe that if a woman fits the requirements of our program then she should be compensated as much as anyone else within our program.
