How much will my fertility treatment cost?

It is important to know your benefits prior to making your first appointment. You may be covered for everything at 100%, or you may have no coverage for a fertility specialist at all. Although we at InVia Fertility Specialists will usually verify your benefits ahead of time so that you are not surprised with a huge bill, please remember that it is ultimately your responsibility to know!

Some insurance plans may require enrollment in a Fertility Program prior to your first visit. Only you can take care of this part of the process. If you do not know your responsibilities, your claims may be denied. Other plans require a referral and a number of medical tests prior to your visit. Without fulfilling their requirements, you will not have insurance coverage!

In addition, there may be a miscommunication between your benefit department and your insurance’s claims department. Knowing your benefits ahead of time will save you a headache later!

In order to plan better for your cycle, you must know how much is covered. For example, if your insurance has 80/20 coverage with a $1000 deductible, you must be prepared to pay the $1000 right away, because all your specialists’ claims will be first allocated to your responsibility. If you create a budget ahead of time, you don’t have to stress out about unpaid medical bills later.

Please remember, we are always here to help you understand your insurance. Having said that, have you checked your benefits yet?
