Freeze MY Eggs??

Yes, YOU! Whether you’re the super busy career woman, the girl who’s just not yet ready to settle down, the woman that hasn’t yet found quite the right partner, or the forever student, freezing your eggs is something you should be educated about.

There is a decline in women’s fertility in her thirties, particularly after age 35. Think that that sounds too young? Check your facts. Feel too young to be looking into this? You’re not.

“But all of these celebrities are having babies into their late 40’s!” “My friend’s sister had her babies into her 40’s!” “I’m still so young!” You may think all of these things. Yes, a small percentage of women do achieve pregnancy on their own, without treatment of any kind, into their forties. But it’s a small percentage. Most people that have undergone fertility treatment don’t take out a billboard or tattoo it on their face. Unless they were comfortable enough to share that information with you, you’d never know. Just like if you chose to freeze your eggs, no one that you didn’t tell would know that either.

Freezing eggs is not an experimental treatment; it’s not something only “old women” do; it’s something that every woman in her thirties should be thinking about if they would like to have children one day. It could be the difference between using your own genetically related eggs and having to use an egg donor. Women I meet with every day wish they could go back 10 years in time and tell their younger selves to freeze their eggs!

Time goes fast and fertility goes even quicker. At the very least, please just educate yourself on the topic.
