Dr. Klipstein Announced as Arnold P. Golf Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award Recipient

We are proud to announce Sigal Klipstein, MD, FACOG is the 2023 recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award for Practicing Physicians given by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

This award administered through the Organization of Student Representatives (OSR), annually honors a medical school faculty physician (MD or DO degree) who exemplifies the qualities of a caring and compassionate mentor in the teaching and advising of medical students. The nominee must also embody personal characteristics that are desirable personal qualities necessary to the practice of patient-centered medicine.

Throughout her time with InVia, Dr. Klipstein has had a reputation for being committed to excellence in the care of her patients. She takes
time to educate her patients, and treats patients with the highest level of compassion and empathy. All these efforts have demonstrated her deep understanding and respect for patients, families, co-workers, and trainees.

Dr. Klipstein is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She holds fellowships in infertility and medical ethics. She completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Boston IVF and Harvard, as well as a Fellowship in Medical Ethics at Harvard University.

Dr. Klipstein has published widely, writing numerous articles in medical and ethics journals. She has also authored several book chapters and presented at numerous medical conferences.

She has lectured on the ethics of infertility, stem cell research, cloning, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis to medical students, physicians, and community groups. Dr. Klipstein currently serves as the chair of the Committee on Ethics (American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology) and ACOG representative to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine
 Ethics Committee.

The award will be presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's Scientific Congress Opening Ceremony to be held on October 15, 2023.
