InVia Fertility Specialists Named a First Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction® Center+ for Fertility Care

We have always done everything we can to ensure you receive the best possible fertility care when you trust InVia Fertility Specialists to help you on your pathway to pregnancy. Now, we’re proud to announce that our high standard of care has received national recognition: Blue Cross Blue Shield Illinois has named us one of Illinois’ first Blue Distinction® Centers+ for Fertility Care.

Begun in 2006, the Blue Distinction® recognition program evaluates care providers according to objective measures developed with input from the medical community and leading accreditation and quality organizations. Blue Distinction® Centers must demonstrate that they provide:

• High-quality patient care
• Treatment expertise in their specialty area
• Better patient results

To earn the additional Blue Distinction® Center+ designation, providers also need to demonstrate that they make the effort to provide cost-effective and affordable care.

For fertility service providers, part of those standards include following the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines on single embryo transfer, which decreases the multiple pregnancy rate associated with IVF, as well as meeting quality measures and standards set by the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) – the country’s leading organization for assisted reproductive technology.
