InVia Fertility knows how important it is to find an affirming, respectful, and compassionate fertility specialist. That’s why our board-certified reproductive endocrinologists are passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals who come through our doors for personalized fertility care.
If you’re seeking LGBTQ+ family-building services in Illinois, InVia Fertility is here to support you throughout your path to parenthood.
Our board-certified reproductive endocrinologists have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals who are interested in preserving their fertility, exploring fertility treatment options to build their families now, and those who may require donor eggs or sperm.
Like cisgender heterosexual people seeking fertility care, you and your partner (if you have one) will undergo fertility testing with one of our fertility specialists. This allows us to personalize your treatment plan and determine how we can help you become successful in your goal to become a parent.
Our fertility specialists may recommend Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) for LGBTQ+ people interested in growing their families. Our specialists will guide you through the ART options for LGBTQ+ people, including a gestational carrier, donor eggs, or donor sperm. We work with you through each stage of the process so you know what to expect each step of the way.
IVF is a fertility treatment that includes fertilizing an egg outside the body in our state-of-the-art lab. Self-administered medications are taken to help mature eggs, which are then retrieved after ultrasound monitoring to determine they are fully mature. There will be an additional medication injected so that a procedure called an egg retrieval can be performed, removing the eggs from the ovaries. The eggs will then be fertilized with sperm in our lab and transferred as an embryo into the uterus for implantation.
For same-sex male couples, a gestational carrier can carry the embryo to term. Our specialists will provide resources and recommendations to help you find a surrogate.
Same-sex female couples have the option of reciprocal IVF, which allows both partners to be part of the IVF process. One partner will provide the eggs, and the other will carry the embryo to term.
IUI is a procedure that involves inserting prepared sperm into the uterus through the cervix via a flexible catheter. Before insemination, our fertility specialists will collect a sperm sample and concentrate it so that only the highest concentration of motile (or moving) sperm is used. This increases the chance of conception.
Same-sex female couples can use donor sperm for this process. IUI can be done in our offices, and you can return to normal activities on the same day.
If you’re interested in medically transitioning and would like to have biological children in the future, our fertility preservation services can help. Cryopreservation freezes eggs, sperm, or embryos in order to use them with ART fertility treatments in the future when the time is right.
Your fertility specialist can help you explore fertility preservation options with compassion and affirmation.
Whether you want to preserve your fertility to grow your family in the future or are ready to explore fertility options now, the fertility specialists at InVia Fertility are proud to support your journey. We offer LGBTQ+ services across Illinois, including Arlington Heights, Chicago, Hoffman Estates, Crystal Lake, Northbrook, and Rockford.
