Welcome Dr. Aniruddha Malpani!

I would like to welcome Dr. Aniruddha Malpani as a Guest Blogger. I have personally known Dr. Malpani for three decades and consider him to be a dear friend. We are in for a special treat with his blogs. This is so because of his special ability to explain complex issues in simple (and very readable terms). Dr. Malpani practices in Mumbai with his wife Dr. Anjali Malpani.

He has a brilliant career with numerous awards, educational distinctions and prizes. Dr. Malpani completed his postgraduate degree in Gynecology from the University of Bombay in 1986. He received further training in IVF from UCSF, San Francisco, and U.S.A. As a medical student, he studied at Harvard, Johns Hopkins and Yale.

Some of the significant milestones in his career include:

• Dozens of publications in National and International peer reviewed journals.
• Invited speaker at many IVF conferences as faculty member and expert.
• He has been featured in many newspapers and magazines.
• He started India's first support group for infertile couples, Infertility Friends.
• Founded India's first and only free patient education library, HELP
• Started India's first sperm bank in 1991; and achieved India's first pregnancy after PGD in 1999.
• Authored 3 books, including How to Have a Baby, How to Get the Best Medical Care; and Successful Medical Practice.
